USAC rules to govern all races
Riders must wear CPSC approved helmets and wear them at all times when riding a bicycle. All racers must sign a waiver. USAC license required (one-day permit $10; enter as Cat5 Men or Cat4 Women) USA Cycling annual licenses are $60 and can be purchased at www.usacycling.org or at the race.
Registration is $15 for one race, $20 for two or more. Juniors (racing age 18 and under) and currently enrolled student members of USAC Collegiate Cycling Clubs are $10/$15. Season passes for unlimited racing are $225 or $150 for Juniors and College (yes, you can graduate and keep using your pass) and are available at PreRace.com and on site. To save time, please fill out your waiver ahead of time – download here: http://www.usacycling.org/forms/rider_release.pdf
The Start Line is in pit row. Racers will line up and be ready to start BEFORE the prior race ends. The race is neutral until the peloton exits pit row.
The Base Line Rule will be strictly enforced – in areas where the line is not clear (between turn one and two) there is a difference in the pavement material and we will have cones or other devices placed to help visibilty. Simply put, it is dangerous to drop below the baseline, due to the pavement condition and the wall at the entrance to pit lane
Lapped Riders may continue to compete – this is a training series and we want to give everyone a chance to have fun and learn. Lapping Riders should loudly announce their presence and pass on the outside. However, please do not behave in such a way as to influence the outcome of the race.
There is a Sprint Line across the track coming out of turn four that is approximately 125 meters from the finish at its innermost point
The Finish Line is well marked on the track surface and there is a bright yellow flag stand above it
Results will be posted at registration as quickly as possible. We need to ensure races start promptly on time so we can fit them all in before dark, and the official(s) will give precedence to getting the next race underway. No changes to results after the end of the 15 minute protest period. Series standings will use the following point scheme: 30, 27, 24, 21, 19, 17, 15, 13, 11, 9, 7, 5, 3, 2, 1
